Anansi Boys is going off things like Fleming novels - the covers of which McGinnis did in fact paint, apparently. Stardust is, mmm And every one of the others is identifiable, too.
The sequence is, Mr McGinnis sends in sketches for a painting, and then Todd and I put our heads together and talk about it, and then talk more when the painting arrives. The American Gods cover reminded us of late 60s blockbuster novels.

I've said it before but this visit confirmed it - this restaurant just gets better and better. I used to go there regularly before it changed hands and really enjoyed it, but this new incarnation is even better than before.
They've kept some of the old favourites but I love the new well thought out and carefully prepared dishes and the range of different flavours. I also like the atmosphere and the way they encourage you to try different wines with the dishes - they have a focused but interesting list and they are good for wines by the glass, so you can mix and match. Great service and yummy well presented food. Beetroot ravioli a real palate pleaser. Great dinner. We were visiting and was fortunate enough to get a table.
Food and service was great. Loved kingfish cervice! So happy we finally ate here. Pulp Kitchen has been recommended to us on many occasions and it didn't disappoint. The food was outstanding and the service could not be faulted. A tad noisy but it was a Saturday night and we always prefer a restaurant which is busier.
Will definitely return and now we'll be recommending it to everyone who will listen too! How cane we have such impossibly good food here in Canberra - never ceases to amaze how good the food is here. Ok but not special or memorable experience for me. Had the steak which was small and very fatty. Asked for sparkling red and was given champagne.

Food is delicious, well presented and good value. Service was attentive and pleasant. I would recommend for a more casual get together.
We all had a great time and the staff were very friendly and polished, we will certainly be back. We had a fantastic night at Pulp Kitchen. We chose the option to do the set price per head menu option which allows and try everything all the dishes. It was delicious! Great food, great staff, great vibe, great fun!
Our meals were absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the potato scallops and the beetroot tortallini. My Husband really enjoyed the Lamb shoulder and steak tartare.
