When its done all the oretoise in archylte will change. Adamanchelid will be shaolong gui and adamantortoise and adamantoises will be long gui User Info: alexanderxX.
You have to beat the mission 63 crushed by doubt by killing the adamantortoise mark and after you do all the oretoises on the field except for one will change into a shaolong gui User Info: canooflawrence. Also the Thing about efficiency, at least in my opinion, is not having to use a lot of resources getting the result Like, what good does it do if I can kill a Gui with Eidolons in , when I have to spend time after that regaining TP?
If I have to use it to buy shrouds to get TP? Same with equiping Champions badge and fight 2 battles to regain TP, that raises the time for one farm cycle by about 2 Minutes walking to the next enemy, walking back etc. Or did I overlook something? This is by far the cheapest way to go because you need nothing more than to upgrade Vanille's weapon alone. The most effective place to farm these items is still Leviathan Plaza because the save sphere is sitting right there!
And as far as regenerating TP for the eidolon trick, there are groups of soldiers right there! Even with a low lv party, a preemptive strike will finish the battle in no more than 20 seconds.
Then again, I could be mistaken as to what you guys mean by a LOW lv party. Please consider that even a a party who is maxed out in the crystarium, but lack the right equipment, can still get easily killed by an adamantoise. Also Ruven, you have to be realistic about efficiency , in order to efficiently farm these behemoths, you will need to use some resources. You are going to have to use some resources in order to be efficient. Oh and to answer you other question ruven, when I killed the adamantoise in that 2 min timeframe you were referring to I was using semi maxed out weapons.
For light, it was a recently transformed omega weapon from the axis blade damn i love that weapon and i mean recently, this wasn't leveled up at all upon being transformed to omega. With a real low level party as in tier 1 weapons. With maxed out weapons for these 3 and using the eidolon trick, around 50 s is about right.
Oh and fyi, I tried switching between Fang and Light as team leader and to be honest, Fang was only faster by a couple of seconds. I believe this is the case because the AI which usually controls Fang in my team can cast debuffs way faster than I can and of course they know when a debuff has been successfully cast so they know when to cancel their attacks.
And just so you guys know, I was only really able to max out Fangs' Kains lance because I DID choose to do up to mark 36 during the main story. This of course allowed me to get all of Bhakti's rewards as well as get a lot of Gold nuggets and other items with high resale value. Finally, I would just really like to emphasize that everybody plays differently so your effeciency in acquiring traps and plat ingots will be highly dependent on how much time you invested in preparing for the fights.
But we have to diferrentiate 2 things first I guess. If you're not Tier 3 maxxed, then it will take longer naturally, thus you can't compare the 2 minutes to the, say, 9 Minutes, but would have to compare it to proably around Minutes though i can't confirm that yet, although I tihnk I remember a yuotube vid, where that was about the time though What I meant with Ressources invested, was also more related to Items i.
Though you don't have to spend more time until you actaully succeed in getting an item, thus the additional time spent is not that much, I guess. I did overlook that. Also again, yes, for Ingots it defintaley IS the better place, but the drop rate on Traps is 5 times higher for Guis thus to even out the odds you'd have to kill a very little bit more than five times the amount of 'Toises in the same time you'd kill one Gui to even out the odds of it dropping a Trap. Also I really don't know whether Death is that good, maybe I had just really bad luck a few times, but I tried that for a while about 30 Minutes and on average it took me about 2 tries to kill the 'Toise that each used up to so making the average kill rate for Death trick to be around 3 Minutes yes with Marlboro and debuffs etc.
I don't think I messed that one up, though of course always possible. So you don't have to walk around the whole steppe to find some Guis to slay. Ingots the 'Toises are better, since they have the same drop rate but can be killed a lot faster.
Oh Ok, lol. So you had some bad luck withe the death trick. Understandable because it does require a whole lot of LUCK. But like I said, if you do consider yourself to have a low lv party and don't have a lot of money to spend in the first place, then this is the only way to get you started.
Unless of course you're willing to choco dig in the archetype steepe for a while. Also, there's always perfume farming in Eden hall. Also those vampires drop both perfume and scarletite. AND the Juggernaut at the beginning drops particle accelerators. So if you're strapped for cash and consider yourself to have a low level party, then this is definitely a place to consider. But to be honest bro, after I maxed out my weapons farming for ingots in Eden, I already had enough traps to make several ultimate weapons.
Honestly, I still have a couple laying around lol. Once again that luck factor comes into play. And also, if we're talking about efficiency here bro, I really don't recommend farming Gui's with tier 2 weapons. I mean lets be realistic here, if you once again don't have that much cash to begin with and are lacking proper equipment, then you;re just setting yoursef up for very quick deaths.
These guys might not have variety as far as attack patterns go, but they can still kill you with one attack. Finally I want to emphasize again that your position in this whole conversation will be dependent on your play-style. If you're like me who did spend some time doing missions in the main story then I can GUARANTEE you that you will have enough money to make at least 1 ultimate weapon to use for the trap triplication trick. Yeah, I see we agree on the most parts. And the question remains "What is now the quickest way to get me the Ultima weapons?
In that matter, thanks for pointing out the Tripledismantling thingy, which I totally forgot about. Worth considering. You said you were gonna write a Guide about farming anyway, so care to put our brains together to actually figure out the quickest method for getting the Ultimas?
Or was the Guide about something else anyway? The guide im working on right now is about cp farming. Again I am designing this for speed. I actually just finished calculating exact exp on upgrading some of the best weapons to use while farming this crap takes a lot of work lol.
I want to emphasize again that this method will take a bit of prep time but in the long run, properly preparing for this battle will speed up the process all together.
If you want to talk about this more extensively, i would be happy to. My aim sn is juanandonlyyou. So I kill it with 1 elixir with maxed party Vanilla, Light and Snow. Last edited by Kebess ; 30 Mar, pm.
Showing 1 - 14 of 14 comments. Death spell used for damage as it is against Long Gui is not a cheat. Vanille's easily the best leader for farming Long Gui, but if you want to avoid Death, I urge you to work on killing Long Gui in a single fall with 2 staggers during the fall, one full length, and one quick one for Highwind.
Fang's the 2nd or 3rd best leader for this and easily the 2nd best--maybe even best--at taking out the legs , although there's a good chance you need a different setup to make it happen. Originally posted by tiornys :. Originally posted by Kebess :.
