Is it possible to have colored smoke

I and i believe mushrat have pinkish smoke come out. It was just a tint though. It was from AF melon, which is basically water with some leaves in it.

I could almost swear I've had orange tinted smoke. But I am colour-blind. DarthHookah Posted August 25, New meaning to purple haze But yeah, I'd be kinda freaked out to have colored smoke going into my lungs Someone try it with smoke bombs. EvansLight Posted August 25, For the most part no you wont get colored smoke. Maybe someone on here that knows chemistry can make somethin for us!! My advice is to get some colored light bulbs and put them in your lamp to make it seem like colored smoke, or a strobe light in the room could be cool and much healthier for you.

Maybe it's just me, but Nakhla smoke always seems to have a slightly different color. It's less white and has more of a blue-ish tint. Anyone else ever notice this? I even saw it in a picture from that "show your smoke, hide your face" thread -- someone posted a picture of themself smoking Nakhla and the smoke was a bit bluish. I've never noticed that, I can only see a difference in smoke thickness. By using this website you acknowledge that ThoughtCo. The room you are sitting in can help you change the color of the smoke.

Also, what time of the day you chose for the experiment also matters. First of all, try using a dimly lit or darker room for the session. This makes catching even slight color variations easy. This is also why you should consider having a smoke session at night.

Also, there are fewer reflections for the eye or camera to get caught in and miss the color in the smoke. Use distinct color led lights to give your smoke a colored appearance.

Instead of using big lights, use smaller ones which you can use to project the light at a certain position. Also, a small source of light in dark is so captivating that a whole room trenches in one particular light. You can take help from your friends to hold the light at a specific angle. For example, holding it with your hands, close to the camera for a chin shot is a good idea.

Make sure the light is only absorbed by the smoke and keep the surroundings dark. Let us stop you right there. As we have discussed before, there are no safe flavors or devices available to change the color of the smoke.

This means that no chemical is safe enough to inhale into your lungs. There are multiple recipes available out there that claim to produce colored smoke.

Most of these recipes involve using magnesium or some other chemicals which produce a colored flame when subjected to fire. These chemicals are not safe to inhale and you should not consider using these chemicals. They are a health hazard. Just stay away from the ones with toxic heavy metals. Perhaps the hot gas or chemicals cooler than burning but still hot react with the pod walls or other material it is being drawn through.

If you have a natrual hooka, the possibilities are wide open. Or, the particle size can cause the color. Tobacco smoke is sometimes blue because the particles are smaller than the light wavelength and this causes scattering.

Flares, smoke bombs and other modern coloured smoke creating objects all use different coloured dyes. There are even a few recipies and more instructions around the web instructing you on how to create your own smoke bombs. Either of the links provided mention a few different options - but these are manufactured compounds. All of the dyes used are organic compounds so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to believe the plants on your world could do something similar.

You would end up with very brightly coloured leaves which would indicate what colour smoke you would get. Any option you choose, however, will have to create a lot of smoke for the effect to be noticeable Sign up to join this community. The best answers are voted up and rise to the top.
